Owner

Bourns, an international electronic design and manufacturing company celebrating its 75th year, has owned the 40-acre Barrington complex for over 40 years. At one time Recon/Optical, Inc., Bourns’ high security subsidiary, occupied the 550 and 570 Buildings while Bourns leased the entire 540 Building to General Electric’s Healthcare Division. Prior tenants for the 550 and 570 Buildings include Goodrich Corporation (now part of United Technologies) and Baxalta Incorporated (now part of Takeda Pharmaceuticals). The Barrington complex, after serving as a high security location, once visited by Senator John F. Kennedy, is now entering into a new role as a multi-tenant 40-acre campus accessible to the community.
